Inspired by Korean mul gwishin (물귀신), or water ghosts, the lonely spirits of drowned souls that stay lurking in the cold watery depths. We all carry our ghosts with us – but what does it take to transform a teardrop into a playful splash?

Our button-up, long-sleeve shirt has a relaxed, oversized fit without compromising clean lines, inspired by a classic menswear cut. Made with a fuzzy, midweight Japanese cotton flannel and ghostly swirl buttons with marbled detail. Sleeve cuffs with placket and button closure, and back yoke for a flattering fit. Plus, two pockets! With or without our Raindrop print, a key layering piece for cool weather that feels like a hug.

Each printed Midnight Shirt is one-of-a-kind! We’ve screenprinted each of these garments by hand. Thus each one has a unique appearance and there may be slight variations in the print.

Made with 100% cotton flannel (180 g/m2) in NYC. To preserve printed detail, handle with gentle care. Wash and dry inside out with like colors. Hand wash or gentle cycle with cold water. No bleach. Hang dry or low temp tumble dry. With time, print will wear into the fabric of well-loved garments.
