Fearsome creatures roam Korean folktales as cunning protectors of the forest, divine guardians of tombs, and repellers of evil.

Inspired by 호랑이와 까치 (Tiger & Magpie) paintings, and thinking about the guardians in our own lives, we’ve taken the stripes of the tiger and the flight of the magpie to embody fierceness, clarity of vision, and a warmth that radiates from within. This garment is an homage to the care we show family, both blood and chosen.

Each smoke & light shirt is one-of-a-kind! We’ve block printed each shirt by hand using a plate that we custom designed and carved just for these garments. Thus each one has a unique appearance and there may be slight variations in the print. Our button-up, boxy camp collar shirt has a relaxed, slightly oversized fit without compromising clean lines.

Will is 5'8” and wears a size XXL. Ingrid is 5'2" and wears a size S. Claire is 5'3" and wears a size XS. Justin is 5'8" and wears a size XL. Angelique is 5'3" and wears a size XL.

Made with 100% cotton (6 oz) in New York. To preserve printed detail, handle with gentle care. Wash and dry inside out with like colors. Hand wash or gentle cycle with cold water. No bleach. Hang dry or low temp tumble dry. With time, print will wear into the fabric of well-loved garments.
